EU-funded Horizon project H2GLASS is committed to accelerating decarbonisation in industry by developing and applying the technology stack needed to realise full H₂ combustion.

The consortium is made up of six Industrial Demonstrators from glass and aluminium industries, along with a group of highly qualified European industrial and research institutions. Funded by the European community with about 20 million euros, the goal of the project is to develop, test and validate the H2GLASS technologies and demonstrate their transferability to other hard to abate industries.

In this prestigious and wide-ranging context, Stara glass plays a key role: in addition to defining the conceptual design of future H₂ furnaces, our company is a key player in the development of H₂-ready combustion systems and a more advanced automation system in the dark factory direction.
